Make Best Tea

Making tea is a simple process, and there are various methods depending on the type of tea you’re preparing. Here’s a general guide for making a classic cup of hot tea using tea bags.

  • Boil fresh, cold water. The ideal temperature depends on the type of tea: around 200°F (93°C) for green tea, and boiling (212°F or 100°C) for black tea. For herbal teas, refer to the specific recommendations on the package.

  • Pour a small amount of hot water into the teapot or cup to warm it. Swirl the water around and discard it.

  • Place the tea bag into the teapot or cup.

  • Pour the freshly boiled water over the tea bag. Ensure the water completely covers the tea bag.

  • Allow the tea to steep for the recommended time, usually 3-5 minutes for black tea and 2-3 minutes for green tea. Herbal teas may require longer steeping times. Adjust the time based on your taste preferences.

  • Once the tea has steeped, carefully remove the tea bag, squeezing it gently against the side of the cup or pot to extract any remaining liquid.

  • Customize your tea by adding sweeteners like sugar or honey, a splash of milk, or a slice of lemon. Adjust to taste.

  • Stir your tea, let it cool for a moment, and then savor the flavors.
